A man in his 30s was fatally stabbed on Gresham Street in the City of London at around 11:30pm on May 1, 2022. City of London Police responded quickly after receiving reports of the stabbing.
Officers arrived to find the victim with serious stab wounds and immediately performed CPR on the street. The man was then rushed to the Royal London Hospital, but he sadly died later from his injuries.
The area was busy at the time of the attack, and police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to come forward. Witnesses can provide information either anonymously or in confidence.
The scene remains cordoned off as investigations continue. Members of the public are encouraged to report any relevant information via the Major Incident Public Portal or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
