Police are urgently seeking witnesses following a sexual assault on a train traveling from Inverness to Glasgow. The incident occurred shortly after 5.30pm on Saturday 14 May.
A woman was travelling on the train when a man sat next to her and offered her alcohol. After she clearly refused, the man inappropriately touched her and then kissed her on the cheek, saying, “I 1 you,” before leaving the carriage.
The train was also carrying football fans at the time of the incident.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the event or has any information to come forward. Those who can assist are asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40. This appeal is referenced as quote 639 of May 17, 2012.
