Two 16-year-old boys were fatally stabbed in separate knife attacks in London on Saturday evening, marking a double tragedy in the Abbey Wood and Thamesmead areas.
At around 5.10pm, police officers responded to reports of stabbings at Sewell Road and Titmuss Avenue, locations just a mile apart. Upon arrival, they found two teenage boys suffering from stab wounds.
London’s Air Ambulance and the London Ambulance Service provided urgent medical assistance at the scenes. Despite their efforts, both boys tragically died from their injuries later that evening.
Crime scenes remain sealed off as detectives launch a full investigation into the killings. Specialist officers are offering support to the families of the victims during this difficult time.
Police have imposed a Section 60 order in the area, granting officers enhanced stop and search powers until 8am on Sunday, 27 November. Authorities are urgently working to determine whether the two attacks are connected.
