A precious Omega Constellation gold watch was stolen during a break-in at a Nottingham home on University Boulevard yesterday, 9 December 2022, around 5pm.
Alongside the rare watch, thieves made off with gold cufflinks engraved with initials, athletics medals from 1958 and 1962, and a gold men’s ring with a single diamond valued at around £1,000.
PC Charlotte Webster of Nottinghamshire Police revealed the victim is an 83-year-old man devastated by the loss. “The watch is the only jewellery he ever bought for himself and holds huge sentimental value,” she said.
Officers are hunting for the thieves and urge the public to report any sightings of the watch or other stolen items. Call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting reference 22*721408, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.
