Police in Kent are actively searching for two men following a disturbing incident involving the killing of a tawny owl believed to have occurred in October 2022.
Officers suspect that catapults were used in the attack that led to the owl’s death. To assist with their investigation, Kent Police have released photographs of two individuals they wish to question.
Police Sergeant Darren Walshaw stated, “We suspect an owl was killed using catapults and are now issuing photographs of two people who may be able to assist with our enquiries. Anybody who recognises one or both of them is urged to contact our appeal line.”
Members of the public who recognise either of the men or have any relevant information are encouraged to contact the police by calling 01634 792209 and quoting Rural Task Force reference 95-22. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555111 or using their online form.
