A 39-year-old man was arrested yesterday and is currently in custody as Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team investigates a shocking murder in Wigan.
The victim, Liam Smith, was fatally shot and attacked with acid on Kilburn Drive, Wigan, late in the evening on Thursday, November 24, 2022. This brutal attack has deeply shocked the local community.
Greater Manchester Police have issued an urgent appeal for anyone with information or footage from Kilburn Drive or nearby Shevington on the night of the incident to come forward. Authorities are particularly interested in CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam videos that may assist the investigation.
