Sussex Police have extended a Section 60 order in the Hollington area of St Leonards for another 24 hours. This order grants officers the authority to stop and search anyone in the vicinity as part of ongoing efforts to maintain public safety.

Inspector Aidan Cornwall from the Hastings & Rother Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We haven’t had any fresh reports of violence, but our investigation continues. That’s why the order stays in place for now.”

He urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity. “Please stay vigilant and report anything suspicious online, call 101, or speak directly to officers around. If it’s an emergency, always dial 999.”

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to quote Operation Beaumont when contacting the police. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
