Emergency crews were called to Laughton Road, Thurcroft, at 6.23pm on 26 January following a tragic collision involving two cars and a 14-year-old boy.
A grey Honda CR-V, travelling towards Thurcroft, struck the boy. Moments later, a white Citroen DS3 heading towards Laughton also collided with him. Despite desperate efforts by emergency responders, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
The boy’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained officers during this difficult time.
The drivers involved in the incident immediately contacted emergency services and are cooperating fully with police investigations.
South Yorkshire Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or was driving nearby at the time to come forward. Dashcam footage from vehicles in the area is particularly valuable to the investigation.
