Detectives investigating the murder of Ashley Dale have arrested two men from Huyton on suspicion of murder and possession of a firearm with intent. The arrests were made on Monday 30 January, with the suspects aged 40 and 28.
In addition, a 25-year-old man from St Helens has been taken in for questioning on suspicion of assisting an offender in connection with the case. The investigation relates to the fatal shooting that occurred last August in Old Swan.
The tragic incident took place at around 12.40am on Sunday 21 August 2022. Police and emergency services responded to reports expressing concern for a woman at an address on Leinster Road in Old Swan. Upon arrival, officers found Ashley Dale with a gunshot wound in the back garden.
Ashley Dale was rushed to hospital but sadly died shortly after the shooting. The police continue to appeal for information from the public to assist with their inquiries.
