A terrifying attack took place in Rise Park on the evening of Sunday, 29 January 2023. At around 8 p.m., a woman was assaulted in a narrow alley located between Park Vale Academy and Rise Park Primary School.
Fast police action led to the arrest of a suspect. On Tuesday night, 31 January, officers detained Shane Nash, 39, from Boniface Gardens in Bestwood, near Nottingham. He has since been charged with rape.
Nash has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear today at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court.
Detective Inspector Craig Hall of Nottinghamshire Police stated, “The victim and her family have been informed and continue to receive support from specially-trained officers. Although we have charged a suspect, our investigation continues. We urge anyone with information to come forward now.”
