On Friday 20 January, between 9.30am and 5.30pm, a burglary occurred on Burns Street in Radford. The victim had left their kitchen window open, allowing thieves to enter and steal a Rose Gold MacBook from a table inside the property.
Detectives acted swiftly and traced the stolen laptop to an address on Noel Street. During a police raid, officers recovered the MacBook and discovered it had been sold to the occupants by a stranger encountered on the street. Two men found at the property were arrested on charges of burglary and handling stolen goods.
Detective Constable Colin Kirkup, the investigating officer, appealed for public assistance. He stated, “We are committed to a fast response as we know how upsetting burglary can be.”
He added, “Burglary is a distressing crime, so please keep doors and windows locked, especially where valuables like laptops and phones are accessible. We have released an image of a man who may be connected. If you recognise him or are the man in the picture, contact us immediately.”
