Gunshot horror unfolded in New Malden when police and paramedics were called to Newhouse Close at around 1.40 a.m. following reports of a shooting.
A man was discovered with a gunshot wound and was immediately taken to hospital for urgent medical care.
The victim remains in critical but stable condition. Emergency teams, including London’s Air Ambulance, provided treatment at the scene before transferring him to a Major Trauma Centre.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed their attendance at the scene. However, no arrests have been made so far as the investigation continues.
Authorities urge anyone with information to assist the investigation to contact the police by calling 101 or tweeting @MetCC with reference CAD422/10Feb. Information can also be reported anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
