Police are seeking witnesses after a bold mobile phone robbery attempt took place in Endless Street, Salisbury, on Thursday, 9th February at around 4.50pm.
The suspect is described as a tanned white male, in his 40s, approximately 6ft tall with a medium build. He had brown hair, a short beard, and was wearing jeans. Witnesses reported seeing him get off a bus in Salisbury City Centre alongside another passenger.
The incident occurred near the Pizza Express, where the man asked a teenage boy for the time before attempting to snatch his phone. Despite being punched, the quick-thinking teenager managed to hold onto his phone, kicked the attacker away, and escaped without injury.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to call 101 quoting log 54230014827. Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
