Police were called to Howards Close, Pinner, HA5, at 10.34pm on Monday following reports from the London Ambulance Service of an injured man inside a property. Despite the efforts of paramedics and officers, 43-year-old Rafal Zabiecki was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination confirmed that Rafal died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries. Two men, aged 61 and 27, have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident. The 61-year-old suspect has been released on bail, while the 27-year-old remains in police custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Claire Hine issued a statement saying, “Our thoughts are with Rafal’s family during this terrible time, and we continue to support them fully. The arrest of two suspects is a major step forward, but we need anyone who was around Howards Close Monday evening to come forward with any information or sightings.”
She added, “We understand this news will worry the local community. However, we believe this was an isolated incident, with no wider threat to the public.”
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area on Monday night to contact the police on 101, quoting reference 7699/20FEB. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
