Detectives in Liverpool are urgently hunting for a man who may hold vital information regarding a brutal rape that took place in the city centre. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, March 18, at approximately 5:30am.
A woman in her twenties was allegedly attacked near the OMG Liverpool bar and club on Temple Lane. Police are appealing to the public for help in identifying the suspect and gathering any relevant information.
Detective Sergeant Joe Rea has urged anyone who recognises the man or who was in the vicinity at the time to come forward immediately. He said, “If you know this man, please get in touch now. He may have vital information to assist us.”
Police believe that others nearby may have seen or heard something related to the incident and are keen to speak with anyone who might help the investigation. DS Rea added, “A serious offence like this is upsetting. Our specialist officers will continue supporting the victim while we follow every lead.”
The police force has reassured the community that the investigation is a top priority. “We understand the community’s concern and are assessing all evidence thoroughly,” said the detective. “Even the smallest detail could be crucial – please share anything you know.”
