At around 2:35pm on Sunday 19 March 2023, a teenage boy was walking along Chatham High Street near The Brook junction when three other teenage boys approached him from behind.
The victim was threatened before his phone and some spare change were taken in a bold daytime theft.
The three suspects then fled towards Best Street. Police responded quickly and arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of robbery and assault later the same day. He has been released on bail while investigations continue.
Detective Constable Martin Stevens from North Kent CID said: “An investigation is underway into the circumstances and we are urging witnesses or anybody with information to call our appeal line.”
