Motorists should be prepared for significant overnight closures at the Dartford Crossing this week. From Tuesday, April 22 to the early hours of Monday, April 29, essential maintenance and contraflow works will result in the closure of the northbound tunnels and the QEII Bridge.
When and Where: Full Closure Schedule
Tuesday 22 April – Wednesday 23 April: The A282 northbound Dartford Crossing East Tunnel will be closed from 10pm to 5:30am for ongoing maintenance works. Diversions will be in place via the National Highways network.
Thursday 24 April – Friday 25 April: The East Tunnel will again be shut overnight from 10pm to 5:30am as maintenance continues, with signed diversions available.
Saturday 26 April – Sunday 27 April: The East Tunnel will close from 9:30pm to 5am for contraflow works. Additionally, the QEII Bridge southbound carriageway will be closed from 10pm to 5am, with contraflow arrangements operating on the East Tunnel.
Sunday 27 April – Monday 29 April: The final phase of East Tunnel closures will occur from 10pm to 5:30am for maintenance, with expected delays and diversions in place.
