A serious crash has completely closed the A27 between Beddingham and Polegate in East Sussex. Emergency crews rushed to the scene just before 11pm last night after two vehicles collided in a dramatic accident.
Sussex Police are leading a full emergency response. East Sussex Fire & Rescue deployed two appliances and quickly extinguished a small car fire while securing the crash site.
The South East Coast Ambulance Service is also on scene providing treatment to those involved in the collision.
National Highways teams are managing traffic chaos by battling gridlock, overseeing road closures, and setting up diversions. Drivers are strongly advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes until the crash has been cleared.
