Eleven people were arrested following a disruptive protest at Junction 3 of the M25 motorway in Kent on Wednesday morning.

At around 7.30am, a group of activists glued their hands to the road surface on the Swanley Interchange roundabout, bringing traffic to a complete standstill.

Kent Police responded swiftly to the incident, arresting 11 demonstrators within an hour of the protest beginning.

The arrested individuals face several charges, including obstructing the highway, conspiracy to commit public nuisance, and criminal damage.

The Swanley roundabout remained closed until approximately 8.50am while National Highways cleared the scene and carried out repairs to the damaged road surface.
