The M20 westbound is currently closed between Junction 9 (Ashford) and Junction 8 (Maidstone) as emergency repairs are being carried out. National Highways teams have been deployed to address the issue promptly.

Motorists travelling westbound are urged to follow the designated diversion route to avoid traffic delays. Look out for solid square diversion symbols along the route.

The recommended diversion is as follows: Leave the M20 at Junction 9 onto Fougeres Way. At the next roundabout, take the 4th exit onto the A20 west. Continue along the A20 until reaching M20 Junction 8. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit to rejoin the M20 westbound.

Drivers should expect additional travel time and remain alert for further updates as repair work continues.
