Two lanes of the M25 anti-clockwise between Junction 24 Potters Bar and Junction 23 South Mimms have been shut following a collision involving a lorry and a car.
The car overturned as a result of the crash, leaving the driver with minor injuries.
Emergency teams from Bedfordshire Police and National Highways traffic officers are currently on site managing the incident. They are working swiftly to clear the wreckage and restore traffic flow as soon as possible.
Traffic is backing up quickly in the area. Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to consider alternative routes while the lanes remain closed.
