The M20 is experiencing severe congestion following a crash involving two lorries near Ashford, Kent. One lane remains closed between Junction 9 (Ashford) and Junction 8 (Leeds Castle), causing significant traffic disruption.

Vehicles travelling towards London have been forced to stop as emergency crews attend the scene. The collision between the two heavy-duty trucks resulted in serious damage, necessitating an extended clean-up operation.

National Highways has issued a warning about the resulting three-mile tailbacks. Drivers should anticipate delays of approximately 30 minutes while recovery teams work to clear the incident and reopen the full carriageway.
