Devon and Cornwall Police are currently at the scene of a serious collision involving a car and a motorcycle on the A38 near Plymouth. The incident occurred around 9pm tonight and has resulted in serious injuries.
The A38 will remain closed throughout the night as officers carry out investigations and work to clear the scene. This closure is expected to cause major delays for drivers in the area.
National Highways have deployed teams to assist with managing the resulting traffic congestion. Motorists are strongly advised to plan their journeys accordingly and anticipate significant delays.
To avoid the crash site, drivers are urged to leave the A38 at Marsh Mills. From there, follow the B3416 eastbound through Plympton and rejoin the A38 at the Deep Lane junction.
