A serious crash has forced the shutdown of the M25 clockwise between Junction 27 (M11) and Junction 28 near Brentwood (A12) in Essex. The incident has brought one of the UK’s busiest motorways to a standstill.
Essex Police are managing the scene alongside National Highways Traffic Officers who are handling traffic control. Drivers are advised to follow the Hollow Triangle diversion route. Motorists must leave the M25 at Junction 27 onto the M11 towards London. Then take the A406 South (North Circular Road) at Junction 4, moving onto the A12 at Redbridge Interchange. Continue on the A12 towards Chelmsford and exit at Gallows Corner. After approximately two miles, use the Brook Street roundabout to rejoin the M25 at Junction 28 anticlockwise.
Motorists are urged to allow extra time for their journeys, seek alternative routes, or delay travel where possible to avoid the affected area.
