A police car crashed into another vehicle at the junction of Nuttall Street and Kingsland Road, E2, late Sunday morning. The collision occurred just before noon, prompting a rapid emergency response.

A 53-year-old woman passenger in the other vehicle was taken to a hospital in East London. Her condition is currently unknown. Two police officers from the squad car were also hospitalised as a precautionary measure. The London Ambulance Service arrived quickly to provide medical assistance.

Emergency crews closed roads around the scene to ensure safe working conditions and to begin an official investigation. The Metropolitan Police are actively investigating the crash to determine the cause.

A Met Police spokesperson said, “We are working to establish the full details of what led to the incident.”

The road closures have caused significant travel disruption for motorists and residents near Nuttall Street and Kingsland Road. Police expect the roadblocks to remain in place for several hours.

Authorities have urged anyone with dashcam footage or information about the crash to contact the Metropolitan Police immediately. Updates on the condition of those injured are still awaited.
