Greater Manchester Police are investigating after shots were fired on Lissadel Street in Salford late Monday night. The suspected gunfire occurred between 8.45pm and 9pm, although officers were not alerted until 9.25am the following morning.
A GMP spokesperson confirmed that no one was injured during the incident. Despite this, no arrests have been made, and a significant police presence remains on Lissadel Street as detectives continue their search for evidence.
The investigation is being led by Greater Manchester Police’s Salford Challenger Team, which is part of the region’s elite anti-organised crime unit. Officers believe the shooting was a targeted attack rather than an act of random violence.
Authorities are urging anyone with information, particularly those who may have CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage, to come forward and assist with the investigation. Members of the public with relevant information are asked to contact Greater Manchester Police immediately.
