Special Constable Daniel Carson Charged with 2019 Rape; Court Date Scheduled for August 2022

Daniel Carson, a Special Constable with Greater Manchester Police’s Rochdale division, has been charged with rape in connection to an incident that occurred in December 2019.

Carson is scheduled to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on August 1, 2022. Until then, he has been suspended from his duties.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed that misconduct proceedings against Carson will be paused and will only resume once the criminal case has been fully resolved.
