Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are actively searching for a man suspected of attempting to kidnap a 15-year-old girl at a bus stop in Salford. The incident occurred on Monday night when the suspect tried to lure the teenager into his dark-coloured hatchback after making advances.

Detectives believe this attack is connected to two other incidents in different parts of Salford, forming a concerning pattern. CCTV footage has helped police piece together details of these events.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any dashcam footage from the following dates and locations to assist their investigation:

  • November 21, between 6pm and 7pm: Rocky Lane, Monton Green, and Monton High Street
  • November 21, between 8pm and 9pm: Mossfield Road and Ackworth Road, Swinton
  • November 16, between 7:45pm and 8:20pm: Liverpool Street, between Fitzwarren Street and Albion Way, Salford

Detective Inspector Chris Horsfield of the Salford division said, “The victims have been left very shaken up by this encounter, and it’s very important that we get this man identified and off the streets as soon as possible.”

Police suspect the man was driving a dark-coloured hatchback and are eager to identify the make, model, and licence plate number with the help of dashcam users. Anyone who witnessed anything or has relevant footage from these areas on the specified dates is urged to contact GMP immediately to help ensure community safety.
