Raami Mohamed, a resident of Fairly Lane, Manchester, has been formally charged with the murder of 22-year-old Badri Issa. Mohamed was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
The tragic incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, October 25, when emergency services were called to Moss Lane East in Moss Side. Police discovered Badri Issa suffering from a fatal stab wound. Despite the efforts of emergency responders to save him, Badri died from his injuries later that night.
Detective Chief Inspector Andy Naismith, from Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, confirmed that while Mohamed faces murder charges, the investigation remains active. DCI Naismith urged the public to provide any information that could assist the inquiry.
He stated, “We understand it can be intimidating to come forward, but your help is vital to bringing justice for Badri’s family.”
In addition to Mohamed’s charge, a second man is currently held on suspicion of murder. A 21-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice but has since been released on bail.
Police continue to follow all leads and are particularly interested in any CCTV, doorbell, or dash-cam footage from the Moss Side area around the time of the incident.
