A bizarre attack occurred in Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens on the night of November 15, when two people were affected by a strange “stinging substance.” The incident sparked panic and prompted a swift emergency response.

Emergency crews arrived near 1 Piccadilly at around 10.30pm to assist the victims. Both individuals required hospital treatment but are expected to make a full recovery, according to officials.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) quickly ruled out acid as the cause after testing the liquid involved. Further analysis is ongoing to determine the exact nature of the substance.

No arrests have been made so far, but an active investigation is underway. The GMP’s City of Manchester Central division is leading the inquiry, aiming to resolve the case behind this unsettling event in the heart of Manchester.
