A couple from Rhondda, Wales, were caught on CCTV sneaking into a local café to have a public sex romp on the outdoor patio. Leah Evans, 37, and Anthony Evans, 42, were filmed on February 23 engaging in the act at the Rhondda café’s outdoor seating area, leaving the owner and neighbours shocked.

The pair appeared at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court where they pleaded guilty to charges of outraging public decency and criminal damage. Both were sentenced to three months in prison.

PC Ffion Hiscutt condemned their behaviour, stating: “This was unacceptable behaviour — a deplorable act in a public place which was clearly visible to the public. They now have a short stint in prison to think about their actions.”

This incident follows other recent public sex cases across the UK. Last month, Rebecca Williams, 44, and Michael Burns, 50, narrowly avoided jail after being caught having sex by a tree in Chester’s Grosvenor Park, in front of families. Similarly, Chloe Dobson, 21, and Peter Penman, 32, were caught on a canal towpath bench near a busy supermarket, shocking shoppers and prompting police intervention.

Local residents continue to express outrage over these public displays. With prison sentences being handed down, authorities are clearly intensifying their crackdown on such behaviour. The message is clear: public venues are not places for private passions.
