Police have released the first image of an 18-year-old teen fatally stabbed in Leytonstone on Saturday afternoon. The attack took place at 2.15pm on August 6, when officers responded to reports of a stabbing on High Road, E11.
Emergency teams arrived quickly and administered first aid at the scene before the London Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance took over. Despite their efforts, the young man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Ghulam Sadiq, an 18-year-old resident of the Leytonstone area. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers. A post-mortem examination is planned to establish the exact cause of death.
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley of the Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command addressed the brutal daylight attack. She said, “On a summer Saturday afternoon, he was attacked in broad daylight on the busy High Road. I know this will shock and anger the local community. We will do everything possible to identify and prosecute those responsible.”
So far, no arrests have been made. The area was busy at the time of the stabbing, and police are urgently seeking any eyewitnesses.

“No piece of information is too minor,” stressed DCI Bradley. “Please come forward and help us bring justice.”
