Kent Police responded to reports of a violent assault just after midnight on Thursday, 2 May 2024, at the junction of Pine Grove and Crouch House Road in Edenbridge, Kent.
According to witnesses, three men arrived in a black BMW and attacked two men they appeared to know. After the assault, the suspects fled the scene in the same vehicle, which police have since seized locally as part of their investigation.
One of the victims, a man in his 20s, sustained stab wounds and was taken to a London hospital. His condition is described as serious but stable. A second man, also in his 20s, received treatment for minor injuries at a local hospital.
On Friday, 3 May, Kent Police arrested two men in connection with the attack. Muhamet Mahmutaj, 24, from Giraud Street, London, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon with intent to cause fear of violence. He has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Medway Magistrates Court on Monday, 6 May. A 27-year-old man from Kent was also arrested on suspicion of a public order offence and remains in police custody.
Kent Police have increased patrols in the Edenbridge area as the investigation continues. They are appealing to the public for any information related to the incident, especially private CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage.
