Two Romford men have appeared in court over shocking violent crimes committed earlier this year.
Christopher Keeble, 47, of Lower Bedfords Road, Romford, was sentenced to seven months in prison after he threatened to kill a woman during a domestic dispute on February 16. The threats were made in front of a child, which made the incident particularly disturbing. Keeble also admitted to damaging the victim’s door during the confrontation.
At Barkingside Magistrates’ Court, the judge described Keeble’s actions as a “grave breach of personal safety in a domestic environment,” emphasizing the serious nature of the offence.
In a separate case, 18-year-old Marcus Dobkin from Kingsmead Avenue, Romford, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent following a brutal altercation on February 1. This serious charge, which involves deliberate harm, carries the possibility of a life sentence.
Dobkin’s case has been sent to Snaresbrook Crown Court for sentencing, which is scheduled for June 2025. Details about the victim’s injuries have not yet been disclosed.
Both cases were heard during the regular criminal hearings at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court between March 13 and March 20.
