Police are searching for two audacious women who pretended to be nurses and committed distraction burglaries in Crawley and East Grinstead.

On 23 September at 3pm, the pair knocked on a home in Ifield Drive, Crawley, claiming to be sent by doctors to perform medical checks. They gained entry, and one woman asked to use the toilet. While inside, they stole valuable jewellery before making a clean escape.

Just two hours later, at 5pm, the same duo targeted a property on Fairfield Road, East Grinstead. Using the identical story about medical checks, they entered the home and took more jewellery from the unsuspecting residents.

Detectives have connected these incidents and launched an investigation called Operation Dawn to find the suspects. Additionally, a third report from Ifield Drive indicates the women attempted to enter another home but left without stealing anything.

Police are urging anyone who saw these women or has any information about the crimes to come forward immediately.
