A 35-year-old man has been charged with serious drug supply offences following a significant police raid in Rookley. On Thursday, 12 September, officers conducted a search at an address on Harts Lane, discovering a stash of suspected Class A and B drugs, cash, and drug-related equipment.

The operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial amount of illegal substances and evidence indicating drug sales. Police acted swiftly to apprehend those involved.

On the day after the raid, a 24-year-old woman from Shanklin was arrested. She faces charges including conspiracy to supply cocaine, possession of cannabis, and possession of criminal property. She has been granted bail with strict conditions until 13 December.

On Saturday, 21 September, 35-year-old Liam Estridge, also from Harts Lane, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply, possession of criminal property, and driving without insurance. Estridge was remanded in custody and appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 23 September. He is scheduled to appear at Newport Crown Court on 1 November 2024.

The investigation remains ongoing, with police expressing gratitude to local residents for their support so far. Authorities emphasise that public assistance continues to be vital in tackling drug-related crime in the area.
