Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that occurred just before 7am on February 2 in Southampton. A pedestrian was struck by a black 4×4 Toyota while crossing Cobden Avenue near Cobbett Road in the Bitterne area.

The victim, a woman, sustained minor injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital for treatment. Authorities have confirmed that her injuries are not life-threatening.

Officers are particularly keen to speak with a man seen wearing a chauffeur’s uniform who stopped at the scene shortly after the collision. He may have important information that could assist the investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident or who knows the chauffeur-wearing man is urged to contact police by calling 101 immediately.
