The tragic death of 21-month-old Tobias-John Doyle in Leicester has led to two people being charged with his murder. Tobias was taken to the hospital from a Mulberry Avenue address on 29 November 2023, but died on 2 December. Leicestershire Police have charged 35-year-old Omiel Gordon and 23-year-old Shalom Morgan in connection with the toddler’s death.

Father’s Heartfelt Tribute

Simon Doyle, Tobias’s father, described his son as a “giggly, happy little boy who put a smile on everyone’s face.” He added, “He had the most beautiful chubby cheeks and curly hair, and he absolutely loved dinosaurs. We love him and miss him so much.”

Charges And Court Appearances

Both suspects face charges of murder, causing or allowing the death of a child, and child cruelty. They appeared in Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Monday and have been remanded in custody.

Next Steps Court

The case is due to continue at Leicester Crown Court on Wednesday 29 April 2024.
