A 20-year-old man has been charged following a knife incident in Melksham over the weekend.
Weekend Knife Horror in Cotswold Close
Emergency services rushed to Cotswold Close at around 5.30pm on Saturday (14 March) after reports of a violent disturbance. Two women were injured in the attack—one suffered stab wounds, while the other sustained a wrist injury. Thankfully, neither injury is life-threatening.
Naked Suspect Detained by Public Before Police Arrest
Christian Drury, from Cotswold Close, was found naked at the scene. A quick-thinking member of the public detained him before police arrived. Drury was arrested and charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and attempting to do the same.
Remanded and Awaiting Court Appearance
Drury remains in police custody and is due to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court this morning (Monday).
