A Cardiff man has been slammed behind bars after cops stopped his vehicle and found a stash of drugs, cash, and a knife.

Caught Red-Handed in Alfred Street

31-year-old Liberte Nambu, from Wellington Street, Cardiff, was pulled over on March 8 in Swindon by police who spotted dodgy driving. The driver was wanted on recall to prison.

During a thorough search, officers uncovered:

  • A stash of suspected Class A drugs, including cocaine, crack cocaine, and heroin
  • A knife carried in public
  • Four mobile phones
  • A significant amount of cash

Nambu was arrested and taken to custody, where further tests confirmed the drugs’ identity.

Police Praise Team Effort in Big Bust

“Following this vehicle stop, officers seized a substantial amount of class A drugs, a weapon, cash and multiple mobile phones which evidenced extensive drug dealing,” said Insp Rich Marshall. “I am pleased we have intercepted this drugs line and prevented it from reaching vulnerable people in Swindon.”

He praised the combined efforts of firearms officers, response teams, the dog unit, and Volume Crime Team for cracking down on serious crime in the area.

Remanded Until Sentencing

Nambu pleaded guilty today (9 March) at Swindon Magistrates Court to possession with intent to supply multiple class A drugs and carrying a knife in public.
