Police have charged three men after uncovering a stash of controlled drugs during raids in Chippenham.
Drugs Haul Worth Thousands Seized
- Ashraful Islam, 21, of Oakfields, faces multiple charges for supplying cocaine, ketamine, cannabis, and ecstasy.
- Charlie Salmon, 21, from Upper Tadmarton, Oxfordshire, and Romelleo Da Silva, 41, of Marshfield Road, Chippenham, are charged with supplying cocaine.
The authorities swooped following warrants at two separate Chippenham properties. At Kings Avenue, officers found over 2.5kg of ketamine, 300g of cocaine, and 1kg of cannabis. A second raid at a Chelwood Close flat uncovered more cocaine.
Custody and Court Date
All three suspects remain in custody and are set to appear at Swindon Magistrates Court today (Wednesday).
Closure Order Enforced
Police have slapped a closure order on the Chelwood Close flat, forbidding anyone not named on the order from entering — or they face criminal charges.
“This operation has hit a serious drug supply line in Chippenham,” said police sources. “We will not tolerate this kind of criminal activity in our communities.”
