Woman Raped in Worthing Car Park: Police Launch Urgent Hunt
Sussex Police have launched a fast-paced investigation after a woman in her 20s was raped at a Worthing car park on Wednesday night, March 11.
Assault at Lyndhurst Road Car Park
The attack took place shortly after 8pm in the Lyndhurst Road Car Park. Authorities confirmed they are actively probing the disturbing incident.
Rapid Response and Night Patrols
The victim is now receiving specialist support. Detective Superintendent Jay Mendis-Gunasekera said:
“We are at the early stages of this investigation and the victim will continue to receive our full support as this progresses. Detectives are exploring a number of lines of enquiry to identify and locate a suspect.”
Police will ramp up patrols overnight and plan to close the car park during the day to preserve vital evidence.
