A brutal punch in a Chatham car park has left a man dead and his attacker behind bars. John Farmer, 45, landed two savage blows that proved fatal.

Unprovoked Attack Shocks Magpie Hall Road

On 1 April 2024, Farmer struck his 33-year-old victim out of the blue in a Magpie Hall Road car park. The victim collapsed instantly and was rushed to a London hospital, where he died the next day.

Quick Arrest Seals Farmer’s Fate

Police swooped on Farmer’s home on Coronation Road just days later, on 4 April. Despite denying the charge, he was convicted of manslaughter at Maidstone Crown Court after a full trial.
