A 30-year-old man tied to the deadly Manchester synagogue terror attack has been rearrested at Manchester Airport. Initially held after the brutal assault, he was taken back into custody amid fresh suspicion.
Rearrest Over Terror Charge Breach
The suspect was first arrested on October 2 for his alleged role in the stabbing spree at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation in Crumpsall, North Manchester. Today’s swoop came after police accused him of failing to disclose information under Section 38B of the Terrorism Act 2000.
Held under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE), he has now been bailed—but with tight restrictions.
Police Reassure: No Ongoing Threat
Greater Manchester Police moved quickly to calm nerves: “We do not believe there is any ongoing threat following last week’s incident.”
Despite this, investigators confirmed the probe into the chilling synagogue stabbing remains very much live.
Manchester Reels After Synagogue Stabbing Horror
Terrorist Jihad al-Shamie, 35, launched a deadly knife attack during the holiest day in the Jewish calendar at the Heaton Park synagogue. Two worshippers, Adrian Daulby, 53, and Melvin Cravitzwas, 66, were tragically killed before armed police shot the attacker dead.
Three suspects were initially arrested—two men in their 30s and a woman in her 60s—as the investigation widened.
Ongoing Manhunt and Investigation
Authorities are locked in a complex investigation to uncover every detail behind the attack. The local community has been kept informed as the terror inquiry unfolds.
