A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after a terrifying flat fire in Enfield sent three children to hospital.
Early Morning Blaze Tears Through Maybury Close Flat
The London Fire Brigade rushed to Maybury Close at 5.19am on September 22 following reports of a fire in a block of flats. The blaze badly damaged the second floor and roof. Miraculously, besides the three children treated for smoke inhalation, no other injuries were reported.
Met Police Launch Full Investigation
The Metropolitan Police joined forces with firefighters to investigate the cause of the fire. Their probe quickly zeroed in on 33-year-old Nathaniel Dwyer-White from Edmonton.
Man Charged with Attempted Murder and Arson
On September 24, Dwyer-White was charged with attempted murder, arson with intent to endanger life, actual bodily harm, stalking, and sending threatening communications. He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today (September 25).
