Three Hurt in Early Morning Smash on Rainham Road South

Three people were hurt in a collision on Rainham Road South at around 5:45am on September 10. The crash caused chaos during the early rush.

Firefighters Rush to Rescue Injured Pedestrian

Fire crews from London Fire Brigade were heading back to Dagenham Fire Station when they were diverted to the smash. They arrived quickly and gave emergency aid to a man in his 30s hit in the crash.

London Ambulance Service took over treatment, providing care to two more casualties at the scene.

Pedestrian Taken to Major Trauma Centre

The pedestrian was prioritised and rushed to a major trauma centre. His condition remains unknown. The two others were checked at the scene and discharged without needing hospital treatment.

Road Reopens After Morning Closure

The A1112 Rainham Road South was shut both ways between Crown Street and Sandown Avenue while emergency services dealt with the incident. Two fire engines from Dagenham Fire Station, ambulance crews, and a paramedic in a fast response car attended. The road has now reopened.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called by London Ambulance Service at 5:48am to reports of a car-pedestrian collision. Investigations are ongoing.

“Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting CAD 913/10SEP,” a spokesperson said.
