Emergency services rushed to the scene of a serious road traffic collision near Better Gym on Broadway just after 5.30pm on Friday, July 18, after reports of a person being struck.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police and crews from the London Ambulance Service attended the scene, where they treated one injured person before taking them to hospital as a priority. Their current condition has not yet been confirmed.

Road Closures in Place

As a result of the incident, temporary road closures and cordons were put in place around Broadway to assist the emergency response. These have since been fully lifted, and traffic in the area has now returned to normal.

Ambulance Service Statement

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said:

“We were called at 5.23pm on Friday 18 July to reports of a road traffic collision on Broadway, Bexleyheath.

We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew.

We treated a patient and took them to hospital as a priority.”

The Metropolitan Police have been contacted for further details, and an update is expected in due course.
