Teen Hurt in E-Bike Crash with Car on Busy Eltham Road
An 18-year-old man was rushed to hospital after a serious collision between his e-bike and a car on 1 Road in Eltham, southeast London.
Crash at Eltham Junction Sparks Emergency Response
The smash happened just before 4.45pm on Friday, 27 June, at the busy junction with Alderwood Road. Police and paramedics quickly arrived at the scene.
Severe Injuries But No Threat to Life
The teenage e-bike rider sustained severe injuries. Thankfully, medics say these are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Driver Questioned, E-Bike Taken
The driver of the car involved was spoken to at the scene. Police have seized the e-bike for further investigation. No arrests have been made so far.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
A Met Police spokesperson said:
“Officers were called at 16:44hrs on Friday, 27 June after reports of a collision on Bexley Road at the junction with Alderwood Road. An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital with severe injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing. The car driver was questioned at the scene and the e-bike has been seized. There have been no arrests.”
