Kent Police were called at 2.48am on Saturday, 24 May following reports that a luxury Porsche had been stolen near St John’s Road. Officers on patrol quickly located the car at Bright Ridge, just a stone’s throw from where the theft happened.
The vehicle was found with its engine running and a suspect inside. On spotting police, the man tried to make a break on foot, sparking a short chase. He was caught moments later.
Stolen Number Plates Found in the Porsche
A thorough search revealed the Porsche was fitted with stolen number plates connected to another vehicle in Tunbridge Wells, strengthening the case.
The arrested man, 25, from Boston, has been bailed under strict conditions as the investigation continues.

“Thanks to the quick response by officers, the vehicle was recovered within minutes and a suspect detained nearby. The car has since been returned to its rightful owner, and investigations remain ongoing,” a Kent Police spokesperson confirmed.
