Northumbria Police have issued an urgent appeal to help locate two teenagers who went missing after visiting The Galleries shopping centre in Washington on Sunday afternoon.
Paige Southern, 16, and Tyler Burlinson, 13, were last seen on April 20 and have not returned home, prompting growing concern for their welfare. The pair are believed to be together and may be travelling around the Sunderland and Washington areas using public transport.
Tyler is described as a white male with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing black tracksuit bottoms, a blue tracksuit top, and black trainers.
Paige is described as a white female, approximately 5ft 5ins tall, with long straight brown hair and a tongue piercing. She was last seen wearing dark-coloured leggings, a black padded Canada Goose coat, and black glittery trainers.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said:
“We know that school and bank holidays can be a particularly busy time for missing persons reports, and we appreciate the public’s support in helping to trace those involved.
Each case is treated individually, and we kindly ask the public not to speculate about personal circumstances online.”
Anyone who may have seen Paige or Tyler, or who has information about their whereabouts, is urged to get in touch as soon as possible.
